The Mild to Wild car show was created over 20 years ago by Chas Marten, a Tacoma native well known for producing local shows since the 70's.
The Mild to Wild event has been held in the Tacoma Dome for 20 years. In 2011, the 21st Mild to Wild returns to the Puyallup Fair and Events Center, where it was first held in 1989.
In 2008, Chas turned over the show to Willie Forstein as the new owner of the Mild to Wild. Willie has been involved with the Mild to Wild since 1995 as a participant 13 times having 11 different cars in the show.
Willie has been involved in the production of many car shows over the years including shows at Dockstreet Landing, Baxter's Auto Parts, Tacoma Amvets, and coordinating the indoor portion of the Goodguys Puyallup Nationals show for the last four years with his good friend Steve Meredith.
Willie and Marie have the deepest gratitude to Chas and Sue Marten for giving them the opportunity to carry on the tradition of the Mild to Wild and to all of the UnClub Boys (and girls) for all the hours they volunteer to make this show successful.
